I was born in 1982 in Sharjah while my Dad was working as a lawyer in Dubai.  I am from a non horsey background, with older brothers who all enjoyed playing rugby. While at school, I loved sports and was selected to train with the British Junior ski squad, played lacrosse at county level and played for the school tennis team.

I learnt to ride at the local riding stables, spending all my spare time there.  I pestered my parents until they bought me a pony and joined the Flamstead Pony Club whose DC was a friend of my Mum’s.  As I got older, my love of horses increased and I competed in all the Pony Club team events, but I always showed a particular interest in eventing.  In 1999 my parents bought me a green 5 year old, straight out of the hunting field, called Major Blue II, whom I took up to Intermediate level and the rest, as they say, is history!

Career Highlights: 

2000 - 2003

Team gold and silver medals representing Great Britain as a Young Rider.

2004

3rd Chatsworth CIC*** World Cup Qualifier.

2005 

I was stable jockey for Leslie Law and did not compete. 

2006

I became British Under 25 Champion at Bramham CCI ***.       

2007

3rd Luhmuhlen CCI**** on Fachoudette

I was a member of the Senior British Squad at the European Championship in Pratoni, Italy.
